Ramy Adly
رامي عدلي


Ramy Adly was born in Egypt in 1985, and became interested in Middle Eastern music at an early age. While studying for a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Assuit University, he also enrolled in 2004 at the House of Oud in Cairo, where he studied with Naseer Shamma. After graduating, he taught for several years at the House of Oud and the Library of Alexandria, and in 2010 participated in the First International Oud Forum at Cairo Opera House. In 2012 he moved to the United States to study international performing arts at the University of Hawaii, and the following year he founded the School of Oud Online to teach students worldwide via Skype. Ramy currently lives in Washington, D.C., and as well as performing regularly, he also composes music for films and plays.
